Xi3™ Makes Scalability a Breeze

Imagine adding processing capability within the core or subsystems to satisfy your new processing requirements.

Xi3 Corporation offers a patented architecture that allows true processing scalability, making replacement unnecessary.

The need for increased computing power increases every day. Unfortunately, today’s computer design makes it impractical and costly to upgrade, add to or subtract from in order to improve performance.

As a result, current processing systems are replaceable, but are not expandable. Once the processing power of a computer has reached its limit, the only real, practical solution is to purchase a more robust computer. Additionally, when one component goes, it usually takes down the rest of the system, significantly effecting productivity.

Until now, the traditional computing model has not been designed to easily or effectively work in multiple environments or perform multiple applications. As a single, integrated processor unit, it is simply not practical for other processors to be added, subtracted, moved, or upgraded because of cost and time loss considerations.

This represents a substantial and ongoing cost for companies, especially those facing unplanned technology changes, and the resulting sudden or inevitable hardware replacement or failure.

ISYS Technologies™ has pioneered Xi3

a new structural and design standard in computer core processing scalability.

Through its Xi3 computing architecture, Xi3 Corporation delivers a processing core that allows multiple processing units to be chained together – added or subtracted as dictated by application or user demands. Added units work together with the original processor to increase power and function exponentially.

Additionally, individual modules serve to back up each other, eliminating a single point of failure for the system. If one unit crashes, the functionality is re-routed and processing continues.

For example, upgrades and new developments in software strain and eventually exceed a personal computer or workstation's processing capabilities every few years. When this happens, the only real option is to replace the entire machine with a newer, faster one. In addition to time and cost considerations, the average consumer is simply not experienced enough to upgrade an older computer. For example, we’ve all experienced the disheartening reality that it's often cheaper and easier "just to buy a new one."

Likewise, manufacturers today are hindered by the non-scalable nature of current hardware designs. As a result, these manufacturers have to constantly replace and discard obsolete hardware as they move to create the next, processing-heavy generation of their products.

Conversely, Xi3 partners are provided with a scalable solution that enables the processing core to scale as user or application demands increase. Additional modules can easily be added, coupled together in a network-like environment, allowing additional processing capability within the processing core (or at the subsystem level) to satisfy the new processing requirements.

On a larger scale, the ability to add new units to the old ones provides IT managers and manufacturers with the flexibility to grow and build a successful infrastructure, rather than completely replace it every few years. At all price points, across all markets, Xi3 provides unlimited scalability into the future.
