NEWS RELEASE: Xi3 Corporation Wins Two Best of State Medals
SALT LAKE CITY — May 23, 2012 — Xi3 Corporation today announced it has won two 2012 “Best of State” Medals, one each in the Production & Manufacturing division (in the Electro/Mechanical category) and in the Science & Technology division (in the Hardware/Firmware Development category).
“We are honored to receive two prestigious Best of State Medals as recognition for our efforts to successfully create a new computer architecture and to bring it to market as our first Xi3 Modular Computer,” said Jason A. Sullivan, Xi3 founder and president. “Thank you.”
The Best of State awards were presented during the 2012 Best of State Awards Gala held the evening of Tuesday, May 22 in the Salt Palace Convention Center Ballroom in Salt Lake City, Utah.
More than 100 individuals serve as judges for the Best of State Awards program, with each nomination reviewed on its own merits and not ranked against other nominations. The three criteria for selecting Best of State award winners are
- Achievement in the field of endeavor (50%),
- Innovation or creativity in approaches, techniques, methods or processes (30%), and
- Contribution to the quality of life in Utah (20%).
