NEWS RELEASE: Xi3 Corporation Unveils Channel Sales Strategy
As sales of the Xi3 Modular Computer continue to accelerate, Xi3 projects that 75% of its sales will be driven through resellers, solution providers, ISVs, VARs, and distributors
SALT LAKE CITY—April 10, 2012 — Xi3 Corporation today unveiled its Xi3 Partner Program (XPP), the company’s initial channel sales strategy designed to help Xi3 drive up to 75 percent of its sales through authorized channel partners.
“Entering a distribution agreement with Avnet Embedded last fall, while also receiving the top vote totals in 3 out of 7 categories at the NeXTI 2011 Conference, convinced us that going to market through the channel was the right thing for Xi3,” said Jason A. Sullivan, Xi3 founder/president. “Since late 2011, we’ve been pulling together the initial pieces for our go-to-market channel strategy, while also holding serious discussions with many of the top channel players. It’s now time to accelerate our sales efforts, and the best way for Xi3 to do that is with key channel partners.”
As a foundation to its initial XPP campaign, Xi3 has assembled a topnotch channel support team, with senior executives dispersed regionally throughout the United States. XPP channel participants will receive a favorable discount schedule for all Xi3 products, with the potential for significant upside as well.
Deal registration protection will also be available for XPP participants, as well as Market Development Fund (MDF) support for qualifying organizations to cover a variety of pre-approved sales and marketing activities, ranging from advertising to promotional campaigns and from training to unit seeding support. XPP channel partners will also have at their disposal a growing portfolio of multimedia sales and marketing assets to assist them in their efforts. Xi3 will further support its XPP efforts with expanded marketing campaigns designed to drive greater Xi3 product awareness, understanding and acceptance among prospective end-customers.
Xi3’s first product, the award-winning Xi3® ModularTM Computer, was introduced to the public at the 2011 International CES show in Las Vegas, with production sales beginning in the latter half of 2011. The adaptable and building block-like architecture of the Xi3 Modular Computer makes it ideal for desktop, enterprise, embedded and specialty applications running any x86-based application and operating system (including Windows, Linux, Unix and more). Since it only needs a very ecofriendly 20 Watts of power to operate and has a projected useful life of 6-10 years, the very small, cube-like Xi3 Modular Computer has one of the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) levels on the planet.
“Additionally, we believe that channel partners will love the customization options that the Xi3 Modular Computer provides them and their customers,” Sullivan added. “Whether that’s offering custom color chassis’ or etching a client logo on the front of the chassis or even producing customized I/O Boards. The point is that the Xi3 Computer Architecture provides our partners with nearly limitless customization opportunities.”
Initial customers of the Xi3 Modular Computer have primarily been businesses and government agencies and have ranged from local, state and federal government entities to a wide variety of Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and from scientific laboratories to healthcare providers. In the coming weeks Xi3 will announce several national and regional XPP participants that provide new avenues for business and consumer end-users to purchase Xi3 solutions.
