The Xi3 architecture and the unique modular design of the Modular Computer provide a new and exciting opportunity for the Industrial Control market. An Xi3 design is a great choice for embedded industrial systems which must integrate many disparate devices and components, as well as support sophisticated Human-Machine Interfaces.

Three significant characteristics of these applications present particular challenges for the system designer. Typically, they are

The Xi3 architecture provides full computing power in a Modular Computer design that can also provide for an easily customizable Xi3 Backplane to interface with disparate systems.
